A Dream Wedding Unfolds: Larissa & Stephen's Perfect Day at Gatsby on the Ocean

If you want to get married on a beach on Long Island, you've got plenty of options. One of my favorites is Gatsby on the Ocean at Jones Beach. Larissa and Stephen chose this wedding venue because it has a lot to offer! Delicious food, stunning setting, and high-level service impress most visitors.

Here are a few details from Larissa and Stephen's big day at this wonderful Long Island waterfront wedding venue.

Getting Ready at Gatsby on the Ocean

One of the perks of the Gatsby on the Ocean is stylish suites, equipped with everything a bride and groom need to get ready for their wedding. Larrisa picked a stunning, elegant white dress and a few lovely details. The decoration and the bouquet in a white and royal blue combo blended well in the lavish suite setting.

The suite was comfortable, and Larissa had enough time to enjoy time with her friends and family between hair and make up. We took preparation photos and had fun. Larissa enjoyed the entire experience. 

Right across the hall, Stephen was taking the last steps toward his married life! He got ready surrounded by his loved ones, too. In his elegant blue suit, Stephen looked so handsome and eager to see the love of his life.

Gatsby on the Ocean Indoor Ceremony

Although the couple got ready right across the hall from each other, they didn't see each other until Larissa walked down the aisle, accompanied by her parents. Due to the winter weather, the ceremony was held indoors.

Everybody listened attentively as the couple exchanged their vows, and the couple couldn't hide their excitement when the ceremony was complete!

Portraits

Gatsby on the Ocean is one of the most beautiful beach wedding venues on Long Island. We took portraits inside due to the weather - focusing on the people and beautiful indoor spaces.

Sophisticated, white, and navy blue decorations in combination with the subtle lighting resulted in spectacular couple photos. The chandelier, chairs, decorated floor, and upscale wedding arbor served as a lovely background.

We had a short moment in front of the venue and near the massive, grand bar. Gatsby on the Ocean photos, indoor and outdoor, are put an emphasis on the stunning venue.

Reception

The first dance was a great intro to the cheerful reception! The Gatsby on the Ocean menu for this wedding was more than delicious, and every guest had plenty of options to choose from.

In addition, the signature drinks, Moscow Mule and Old Fashioned cocktails, were excellent! Many Gatsby on the Ocean reviews focus on the professional kitchen staff and bartenders, and we agree they are exceptional! The service was professional, everyone was kind, and overall impressions were very positive.

People at the reception enjoyed their time with the DJ - who created an entertaining atmosphere and played the right songs at the right moments. At some point, everyone in the hall was on their feet. We took compelling photos on the dance floor and captured authentic moments! 

Speeches

A memorable part of Larissa and Stephen’s wedding were the speeches. The bridesmaids' speeches were touching and creative, but the best man stole the show with his entertaining speech in which he shared a few exciting stories about Stephen. 

As a Long Island wedding photographer, I enjoy capturing candid moments and emotions on people's faces. Those weren't lacking during this part of the evening!

A Few More Details to Remember

Larissa and Stephen’s wedding story wouldn't be complete without mentioning a few more details that caught everyone’s eye. We loved the taste of look of the cake in the gorgeous white and blue color scheme. The other desserts were delicious and the cocktails were a nice touch.

However, the strongest impression is the endless love and happiness people celebrated that day! The bride and groom were comfortable and enjoyed every moment of their wedding. Guests sensed it and the atmosphere was excellent. 

Conclusion

Larissa and Stephen's wedding was flawless. Gatsby on the Ocean is a favorite Long Island wedding venue. Our couple was happy to celebrate their love at this stunning location, and they made life-long memories! I am grateful to be a part of their wedding story.
