Curry Estate | Hudson Valley Wedding Photographer | Katie + Jake
Curry Estate - Hudson Valley Wedding Venue
Curry Estate is a beautiful wedding venue in Hopewell Junction. The Hudson Valley offers so much in terms of scenery, and Curry Estate encapsulates all of it. With beautiful scenery everywhere, the centerpiece a 19th century mansion. It was the perfect location for Katie and Jake.
Preparation
Katie and Jake had a beautiful October wedding day. With beautiful fall foliage everywhere, I don’t think the day could be more perfect.
After we stopped in to see Jake, we checked in with Katie and met her bridal party. Katie is so lucky to have such a fun group of friends and family.
Bridal Party
Katie and Jake did not want to see each other before the ceremony, so we made sure the portraits were done so the bride and the groom weren’t close to each other. Even on such a big property, that required a little planning.
Both sides of the bridal party were relaxed, fun, and calm. They were focused on the couple, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been more perfect. No one was rushed, and everyone was enjoying themselves.
Ceremony
The outdoor ceremony took place under a beautiful archway created by Three Roots Floral Designs. Their pastor was their officiant, and it really made for a touching service. Under the fall foliage and surrounded by loved ones, the pastor spoke of them, and then Katie and Jake shared the vows they wrote for each other.
Wedding Portraits
While the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, Katie and Jake were able to walk around the property to take some images. It was the first time they were alone. One of the things I love about the wedding day is that I get to be with the couple throughout their experience. Having had an opportunity to get to know them and hear about their wedding plans, it is really inspiring to see their dreams culminate in a perfect day. Having the opportunity to be alone with them as they get to soak in their first moments as a married couple is something that I don’t take for granted.
Reception
I knew the bridal party was fun, but I was so happy to see the guests just as ready for the party. In the beautiful ballroom of Curry Estate, Katie and Jake had an enjoyable and lively reception.
Katie and Jake really embody the notion as the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Individually, they are great people, and together, they are even better. Working with them over the past year has been such a wonderful experience for me, and I am grateful to have had a small part in their wedding.

Bridgeview Yacht Club | Long Island Wedding Photographer | Briana + Brian
Briana and Brian are a special couple, and working with them over the past year has been very meaningful for me. Being around two people that are just meant to be together is inspirational!
My day started with Brian, his parents, his brothers, and his groomsman at his childhood home in Rockville Centre. While everyone was a little nervous, there was so much excitement.
Briana was getting ready nearby, and the overall feeling there was the same - but with a lot more people! Her dress from Village Bridal by Omnibus is absolutely stunning!
I did have a first as I got to photograph Briana with her pet snake!
Bridgeview Yacht Club
Briana and Brian opted for a first look at the Bridgeview Yacht Club. After waiting all morning with family and friends, they were able to have some meaningful time together for about 30 minutes. After their first look, the two of them were able to center themselves for the perfect day ahead as we took some portraits.
We had plenty of time for family images and bridal party images. I loved how they scheduled the perfect amount of time so that they did not feel rushed at all throughout the day.
The Bridgeview Yacht Club is a beautiful location in Island Park, NY. When I saw the room decorated with these stunning centerpieces from Flowers By Brian, I was very impressed. It was absolutely beautiful
Another unique element of this wedding was that Briana’s dad is a wedding officiant, and he delivered a heartwarming and personal service.
The reception started strong, and everyone remained on the dance floor all evening!
Being near two people who love each other as much as they do is really a blessing. Their wedding was incredible, and being a small part of their story was meaningful to me!

Wedding Proposal the Cloisters | Long Island Wedding Photographer | Sarah + Ben
Sometimes there are places that you visit and they become forever special. For Sarah and Ben, one of these places is now the The Cloisters. Ben created one of the best planned proposals I have ever witnessed!
I spoke to Ben weeks before his proposal to Sarah. He planned on taking her to The Cloisters in the early afternoon for a visit to the museum that culminated in a proposal.
Having never met Ben or Sarah, I was guided only by a photo. Once I spotted them, I did my best to hang around without it appearing as if I was following them. At one point, Ben handed me his phone to ask if I would take a picture of the them, and this was the moment he dropped to his knee.
Sarah had absolutely no idea this proposal was coming, and it was really an emotional experience for them but also for all of the people that stopped to watched.
We took a few images, but Ben wasn’t done with the surprises he planned. First, Ben’s family from Long Island arrived to meet the newly engaged couple!
Sarah’s family lives in Texas, and she had briefly FaceTimed them to share the good news. But Ben had another surprise - he had flown Sarah’s parents, sister, and brother-in-law from Texas to be part of the celebration!
After a few family portraits, we went outside of The Cloisters to an area that gave a nice view of both the fall foliage and the Hudson River.
Ben and Sarah then had a weekend full of celebration - including a surprise engagement party!
I was so happy to have a small part of this moment in their lives. Congratulations to Ben and Sarah!
The Loft by Bridgeview | Long Island Wedding Photographer | Angelica and Mike
Angelica and Mike had a beautiful day in September for a perfect wedding, and I loved being with them from getting ready through the end of their night.
Wedding Details
Angelica got ready in a hotel suite. I love how the texture of all her details photograph so well! One really nice touch was a piece of the collar of a cherished pet incorporated in her bouquet.
Old Westbury Gardens
Angelica and Mike opted for a first look and family pictures at Old Westbury Gardens - a beautiful location for all wedding photography. Mike and groomsman had this perfect area.
Once Angelica arrived, we arranged the first look. Angelica had this long walk to meet Mike, and the excitement was contagious. They were able to enjoy a great moment.
From a timeline standpoint, one of the best things about a first look is the ability to take family pictures before the wedding. This allows couples the freedom to enjoy the rest of their day. They can go seamlessly from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception without having to stop for those important images.
Angelica and Mike had time for wedding portraits of just the two of them at Old Westbury Gardens. They were able to achieve several amazing looks and locations in just a short time.
The Loft by Bridgeview
Once we arrived at The Loft by Bridgeview, we had scheduled time for a few more portraits. I love the Angelica and Mike built some extra time into their schedule. They were able to get all of their wedding photos without being pressured by time at all! I think it is so important for couples to enjoy their whole wedding, and this small amount of extra time ensured that.
The Loft by Bridgeview is a unique Long Island Wedding Venue. There is a great view of the bay, the possibility of a great sunset, and a fun, industrial aesthetic.
Their wedding ceremony was meaningful - incorporating family members and vows that they wrote themselves.
During the cocktail hour, Angelica shared a surprise with Mike. She had hired Michelle, a live wedding painter, to create a great piece of artwork created at their wedding.
The reception incredible. The dance floor was full almost the entire night.
Being a Long Island wedding photographer means capturing moments throughout an important day that become part of their story and their legacy. Angelica and Mike had a beautiful day, and I’m so happy I could preserve these moments for them!
